Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet leaves on the heel that has crushed it.

@AlphaCentauri "Playing games on my phone" was an option, and I can imagine some folks who play word games checking that box. PC too, I suppose.

Video game poll ended, turns out 74% of polled users play some sort of game. Higher than I thought it would be, honestly.

So many John Wick spinoffs announced. I wonder if they know that most people watch those movies to see Keanu Reeves make up for the evils of the world by killing as many assholes as humanly possible.

... And the dogs. The dogs deserve their own spinoff, but nobody knows how to write a dog protagonist unless it talks or it dies.

haven't heard this one in a while.

(2/2) It's no fun at all, especially if it's hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel. It can definitely put you in a different mental space from people who haven't had to struggle like that, which can be a blessing and a curse I suppose.

Hope things are still going well for ya.

@Pam4Aruba

(1/2) Yeah, too much water can "choke" the plant out and help fungus thrive. Drinking when you're thirsty is nice, but imagine having to drink constantly, ha. If you ever feel like trying again, maybe try a snake plant. Super hard to kill, they can live a long time, and can grow pretty tall when you get the routine figured out.

more low-tech photo processing. getting addicted to it.

this one isn't my photo, it's from a royalty free database.

@Pam4Aruba
(2/2) So really, it's more about being okay with doing less sometimes, if that makes sense?

Treading water, feeling trapped underwater... been there for it all. We're told we should speedboat out to our goals, but when you've been submerged for a while, just floating can feel nice for a change.

@Pam4Aruba
(1/2) Well, maybe "patience" in the usual sense isn't the best word.
It's more about worrying that you're not watering or fertilizing enough, and harming the plant by doing it too much. Many plants have simple needs - lots of sun or partial shade, very thirsty or content with less water... you can find all that info on Google, and once you know the plan, you can worry over it a lot less and just enjoy seeing it grow.

Every now and then I'll have a dream about meeting someone very dear to me and who I miss very much, but can't quite remember how I knew them. Then I'll wake up and realize I've never met that person. Little creepy, but it's probably just my zany mind.

@Janet never even heard of it! i haven't owned an iphone in years or i'd try it out.

@pendrag Advanced mode has its advantages, definitely, but on a 4k display everything is a little zoomed out... then the text and UI get too big if I zoom it to fill, haha. If an option to resize panel widths was a thing, I'd probably stay on Advanced too.

@Janet then when you save it, open it back up and resize it to be big again. use multiples of 100% and nearest neighbor scaling to make sure it stays blocky and even.
