Texas has provided the model, as they've started forcing trans people to change DLs and IDs back to their old name and gender.
@tyghebright I immediately though I need to get mine renewed before the end of the year, because I'm worried if he goes in and blasts the government employees to shit, it will be impossible to get one.
@tyghebright I also did not mean this literally, I think you know that though. If he cuts departments up, outsources some of work etc., it will be like domino effect.

I just renewed mine, my husband's and need to go in person to get my youngest son's. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks. I want to be ready to get out if necessary, just not sure where to(?) I'm really scared this is like Iran pre-islamic revolution, and I don't want to live in a theocracy.

seniors, youth, other ppl here literally have no where to live-- they are forced into their cars. I pay 2/3 of my monthly income on rent :( Our food banks have seen a doubling of need in five years and are at the breaking point. I'm sorry America, there is no quick fix for you in Canada. Yes. I know many Canadians who are struggling because of the ASTRONOMIC cost of housing.
There are places I would consider moving, if able, but Canada's not one.
(Also, it's American arrogance to just assume we can move to a country of our choosing without knowing if we meet the requirements.)

@Zevon @CanisPundit @tyghebright the amount of homeless people especially after Covid has doubled if not trippled...how they expect people to survive if 1bd apartment minimum rent is 1200$ in suburbs (not in a best shape), meanwhile people monthly income is 1500$...in downtown 1bd 2000$...and there is no hope for improvement 😑
