The one thing I know about the media from being in a war myself is that AT LEAST 80% of what you read outside credible news sites and including social media, (hopefully not COSO), is misinformation designed to confuse and anger both sides of a conflict created by both sides and the armchair quarterbacks of the world.
Stick to CNN news, NBC news, and CBS news. And you will get pretty accurate stuff. It will be at least 48 hours old, but still pretty much accurate.
