Just a shock, well almost.

Imagine if you will, a huge multi-national publicly traded company. Whilst trying to recover countless Windows machines and coming to grips with trying to get the bit-locker codes to those who need them for recover operations. One guy has an idea.

I'll just send this password-less, unencrypted excel spreadsheet that contains all of our bit-locker codes to everyone in the company that needs to look up their code over plain text email. FFS...

But seriously. This is why best practice is to have your backout plan. Practice this EVERY TIME.

Back up your shit before installing those updates. In this Crowdstrike scenario. A full image snap would be the easiest way back to production operations. SMFH
