: when faux-Italians think their Italian food/recipe is more Italian than actual Italians' food/recipe because they think "Americans" can't cook "real Italian" food [like American non-Italians]
Folks often don't realize that immigrants make do with what ingredients their new countries have available, for the most part, and that things like recipes change over time.
Identity is weird and sometimes amusing.

Why is it so incredibly dry in the Mid-Atlantic?
Look at where the wind is coming from compared to average — much more out of the NW and not the S.

Seven years ago, CounterSocial was still in beta. We had a handful of users interested in what we were trying to do and we set about drumming up interest to find more.
The premise then was as it is now: a social media experience that is COUNTER to the influence of malicious actors online. A haven that doesn't exploit, but instead allows YOU to be YOUR genuine self.
For seven years, we have been sustained by an amazing community who chips in to keep the servers online.
