@MovieNights: It's one of my go-to nostalgia movies. I watch it twice a year or so. I was exited to see it as a kid because it had everyone I recognized, i.e, Wallen, Sheen, Dewhurst. Skerritt, Adams, Campbell, and especially Anthony Zerbe and Herbert Lom.

1/2: With any luck, I won't be on all that much, either to read things or post, while I'm in MN. For the three days' driving to get there and back is included in that. Not much in re: politics or policy that might happen between now and November 12 will surprise me much, unless it somehow stops interstate traffic while I'm on the road.

An uptick in political violence like arson, "white powder" via post, bomb threats? 👍

Continued outrage over every utterance by whatever side by the other? 👍

@zenmudprod @Chex: This brings us back to the problem. What happens when and if a sitting President and sitting state governors disagree over who the bad guys are, in this case when/if the GOP/MAGA/Q/alt-white launch violence campaigns. Included the murk is when/if Speaker Johnson, part of the GOP/MAGA/Q/alt-white pulls "congressional oversight", this launching a constitutional fight that goes... where else but to the Supreme Court.
