: I am laughing and at the same time feeling both seen and personally attacked.

: What this year's U.S. General Election is about, fundamentally, is how well or poorly some millions of Americans are at recognizing active, willful evil and either resisting it or jumping onboard with it, and anyone genuinely "undecided" really has to be truly wicked dense.

: Life is often like watching a poorly-written movie. After character intros and a scene or three you pretty much call the story arc and what happens to which characters, and you wind up kinda bored while most other viewers are on tenterhooks about it, surprised by someone firing Chekov's gun and startled that the old cop who's all set to retire or the new recruit who's wife is pregnant got killed by the bad guy at the end of Act II.

🤷‍♂️

: "What Orwell failed to predict was that we’d buy the cameras ourselves and that our biggest fear would be that nobody was watching."

: "A man who so much resembled a Baked Alaska – sweet, warm and gungy on the outside, hard and cold within."

Peter Marshall: You’ve gone from egg, to larvae, to pupae. What’s next?

Paul Lynde: A shave and a shower and off to work!

PILLOWY

@Christmas_Snow: It was freshman year of college. Everyone had a lot of growing up to do. It's the nature of The First Year Away, really.

: The end of my right middle finger got smashed by a window pane tonight. It hurt LF, and I swore a lot. That said, if I'd'n't pull my hand back when I did, then it'd've certainly broken my index, middle, and ring fingers in the middle.

No fun.

@Christmas_Snow: They didn't twist it so much as the five were playing like goofs and making the game not fun for me and Ken, and so we pulled a fast one on them, just for kicks. They reacted poorly IRL and decided to have their character be jerks. Ted, the GM, let it happen, and he adapted the module to allow for me and Ken to be, for lack of a better term, wildcards. After the module completion, the rivalry continued.

@Christmas_Snow: That is reminscent of a Marvel Superheroes RPG character I created and played in 1988-89. Instead of shadows, he manipulated Darkforce. He started out as a good guy, but due to player group dynamics he/I became a villain. Instead of being a group playing with a gamemaster, it wound up me and another player versus the other five. Ken, the other player, and I killed them and ended the game and the group.
