He's my late step-father's only first-cousin, and I remember hearing first, before the newspapers, about the BTS drama with Harper and her over over-episode pay increases for them. The network canned her and had her killed off and replaced with Sandy Duncan.

Rhoda was a fantastic character, and Harper was really talented, and she was tough in negotiations, even to the point it cost her.

@Dane: I have some sympathy but not much compassion for him. A lot of those folks reek a tremendous amount of havoc on a disproportionately large swath of the general population, not just their locals, but the nation and even internationally. And they do it for a buck. They do it for the thrill of it.

If you want to scare the Christian Fascists, remove all tax exemptions for everything and anything having to do with churches anywhere within the borders of the United States of America. That includes writing off tithes and donations to them. It also means taxing the real estate.

Oh, and put various domestic Christian groups on terrorism watchlists.

@Dbot: This is business as usual. I am certain there are different factions within the administration constantly jockeying to do what they want to do, and people are just scrambling, including Biden. There’s doubtless a lot of horse-trading going on.
