: I've always been somewhat to quite troubled that the bulk of pep talks, motivational sayings and activities, especially group but definitely also individual language and activities related to self-help and positivity are deeply aggressive, even violent, and Othering and speak more to ego *against* [fill-in-the-blank] than anything else. Much of it seems very desperately insecure and sophomoric to me, which is in part why it's so popular, I reckon.

: My then-girlfriend in 2015 sent me this in 2020 and said it reminded her of me. (We're still frens. It was an awkward breakup, not a bad one.)

: This is from my IG some years back. It's another reason why I stopped with the dating and more. It's complicated pretty much every working/professional and social relationship I've ever had, and it always complicated my family life growing up and into adulthood. (Perhaps interestingly, it hasn't affected my family life with my sons. I guess that's because I raised them? I've not put tons of thought into that aspect.)

: I may have mentioned my Tapestry before with some of you if/when we've discussed neurology, "inner monologues", "inner eyes", and such. I finally found my IG post from some years back about it.

This artist's image is as close as I've ever seen IRL to what I see in from of me in real-time and have done since I was a very smol person. I was in my late thirties when I learned everyone doesn't have this "heads-up display" like I do.

: Art imitating life... I've said that very thing or close-to to a wide array of women and men (and a few others) since I was a kid, and I learned people do not take it well. That said, I don't blurt it. I answer with it when I am asked a specific question.

: what springs immediately to mind when I see the Panicky Patties on whatever side or section of any aisle piping up about the end of civilization, the end of the world, the end of [whatever political party or ideology], and all

All I can think is "Do any of you colossally dense slack-jawed mouth-breathers live in a data void, or are you just assholes? Or both?"

: Many, if not most, people actively disdain common sense, practicality, realism, and accuracy because they don't want to have the emotions their swept up in to be dashed. Then once real life shows up and dashes them for them as a matter of course they disdain common sense, practicality, realism, and accuracy because they don't want to feel and to admit to themselves but especially to others that they're stupid.

: I did a lot today, and I'm not finished with the project. The project was/is organizing the house for my own labor efficiency and comfort... and also for energy efficiency. This involved/involves lots of walking around, eyeing everything, and pondering to find out the what-ifs and ultimately the order in which things must be executed so as not to turn the place into a disaster area during and after.

I love puzzles.

: I tell people I am demisexual and polyamorous so that people will leave me alone. The sheer number of people either one of those keeps away from me is amazing. The number they combined keep away from me is boggling, and I'm totally there for it. And that's not even including throwing "autistic" into the mix.

I years ago got tired of people wasting my damn time and emotional energy.
