: I understand this about me and have done for many years. I even give people a heads-up, and they always think I'm kidding or being too self-effacing, at least until later. If I don't keep myself in 3rd gear or sometimes even 2nd, things tend to go south, and I don't take it as any kind of an affront or injustice or whatever. I know I'm wired differently, and I knew long before knowing I was autistic.

: ...cool about it. We've known one another long enough that he doesn't take it personally when I rain on parades. My Spidey-sense has frequently saved him a bundle as well, which helps.

Monty Python's Flying Circus
The Two Ronnies
Dave Allen At Large
Benny Hill
Doctor Who
Good Neighbors (The Good Life)
Yes, Minister
Yes, Prime Minister
The Twilight Zone
The Outer Limits

Those were the tv shows I watched the most of all from the time I was ages 6 to 16.

Explains a lot about me, doesn't it?

: For the record, many of us have. It's been clocked. That said, we are a minority, and so it doesn't have much effect on business. That said, it doesn't much help if the platforms know our special interest(s) because usually the algorithms throw shit at us we already know, have seen/heard, or have, and they give us nothing much at all new, relevant, or desirable.

: I wish I had more money, because then I could help out my frens the way I would like to. I would also be able to have my own place and be able to be without roomies. I could also adopts dogs.

I've never had luck with roomies, not even when I was a kid, in college, or when I was married.

I like helping out mah frens.

I love the doggos.

: As interesting a concept as it is, I find it dull. I see all the hallmarks in it of the uncanny valley. 🤷‍♂️

: It's interesting when passive-aggressive, tone-policers, and the like don't get the reactions they want -- or reactions at all. It usually goes one of two ways, either they escalate publicly with the target and any adjacent, to bait-triangulate, or escalate privately but to other audiences, to appeal for sympathy and do some outrage-farming.

People actively dislike it when you won't carry their baggage.

3 Things I Hate:

not having good/enough data

-being wrong about things

being right about many things I'm right about

3 Things I Love:

good data and lots of it

being wrong about not few things (because it usually means things and people are doing better than average/usual)

providing good information and/or advice, if asked

3 Things I'm Not Afraid Of:

data

saying "I don't know"

naps

: I am told this is me being mean.

My response to that is I don't respond to baseless guilt-tripping either. I was married to a monster for a decade and grew up an undiagnosed Aspie in the wild. Folks are going to have to do way better than that.

: I got asked on a writer's panel what I would wish for if I could get one wish. If it could be done without rewriting a ton of reality, I would rather like to have a Delos host body and be a free-agent like Maeve was on Westworld.

I wouldn't want the additional "spyware" and "control other hosts" powers. Just a proper, functioning body and sole access to my programming, protocols, and features is what I'd go for.

: What is ?

It's being on a first date and being asked if any famous men or women were born on your birthday, and you answer, "No, only little babies." Then things seem to go well for the rest of the date, but you never hear from them again.

: It's best to have your own identity and not on pegged to other people or anything else external to yourself.

Just a bit of advice from an and .

: I call this feature of my neurology/mind The Involuntary Calculator, and I also discuss its processes very broadly. It all makes perfect sense to me. Others often, however, call it unserious, chaotic, etc., though they don't mind when the end result appears.

Humans are weird, and I've learned to live with it.
