: What scares people who go on and on about how they "scare the hell out of people"?

Be yourself, but coincidentally be someone that doesn't faze you because you don't react to their scripts because you don't follow them anyway. I don't mean actively try to dodge their script. I mean legit be unfazed and function just fine.

That bothers the shit out of them, and they will react accordingly.

2/2: I know me and the reactions I get to being me, which is why I began using the hashtags , , and and why I began using the monicker I use, .

I imagine I'm going to get more and more and more and more of the aforementioned reaction in the coming weeks and months.

C'est la .

3/3: ...this everything sprung up because we got lucky. People are the problem, yes, but holy shit. Everything we as a species have managed to do was in spite of ourselves, and the cosmos were so microteenily, it’s all in spite of that, too.

It isn’t really technology that we need to keep working on. It’s us. That’s just a thought running through my head today.

: from way back on my IG

It was a difficult lesson to learn because I was constantly inundated with the mixed messages not only from people I knew but also books, tv, movies, and most of pop culture. Growing up an undx'ed autistic literalist meant I had to collect enough data, i.e., have enough experiences for me to realize the reality of that and many other situations.

: I learned a lot about behavior in college, primarily I got to see how not to behave, how not to think critically, and more. I also learned what sarcasm was and began to learn to understand what it meant, though in practice it still VERY often eludes me when it's inbound, much to the anger and consternation of those throwing it, which never helps things.

TV shows that had a hand in shaping me when I was growing up, plus a few from my adulthood

(in no particular order)

Doctor Who
Dave Allen At Large
The Two Ronnies
Hannibal
Columbo
Inspector Morse
Tales from the Darkside
The Benny Hill Show
Poirot
Miss Marple
Kolchak: The Night Stalker
The Twilight Zone

: People admire and laud the ones who "make the breakthrough" in the end but not the many who weakened the wall for years or lifetimes prior. I often wonder, often aloud, "Who started the path?" That's also of great interest to me, in addition to whatever the new thing is.

: It's easy to find clinical books and articles about North, Central, and South American indigenous myths and legends, but I find it quite difficult to find what I'm looking for. I don't mean nececelery about particular myths, especially gods and monsters, but about what they mean and how they interact, their place in the way of things... if all that makes sense.

My self is super persnickety about this and always has done.

How Well I Pick Up on and Other Signals as a Human

Her: You want to go upstairs?

Me: Okay.

Her: Did you bring protection?

Me: (nervous) Why? What's up there?

...and yes, all of my previous girlfriends can attest to this. Seriously, I require clear, precise communication.
