USMC disbanded their tank corp in 2020, by 2021 all of their tanks had been transferred to the US Army.
Don't remember the exact dates but the DoD's abandonment of a two-war strategy, and the abandonment of both massed airborne combat drops and contested over the beach landings all took place in a short time frame.
A very, very short sighted time frame.
And we are still making our military weaker to this day.
