Then there's the folks who made a Jedi church and cosplay 24/7/365.
There are also folks who boycott long-enjoyed franchises, products, people, or hobbies because someone else's opinion or life or whatever "ruined it for [them]".
And we cannot forget "real fans" of tv shows...

I don't mean kids. I mean grown-ass adults, many with college degrees and jobs. I cannot imagine what in life and identity they're lacking.
