@tmbrown327: Interesting. I'd thought of that before, though didn't do all the math and chemistry. Not did I come up with a cool name for it. Nor did I know how to stall decomposition, just that if there was a way to, we could use the earth itself as a carbon sink.

Maybe seven or so years ago I was fooling around a bit and reading lots about botany, farming, and climate change. Those researchers were probably already working it on it then, of course. Sharper minds than mine.
