To be extremely brief, I am very good at forecasting. I also joke and call it an Aspie superpower, but really nearly anyone can do it if they apply themselves over time. This morning I mention it due to a Thing That Happened.
I was worried for a good friend's film production, and I was right. $770K, and the completion bond folks are now there.
: ...cool about it. We've known one another long enough that he doesn't take it personally when I rain on parades. My Spidey-sense has frequently saved him a bundle as well, which helps.

People wind up avoiding you because of it. You develop a reputation, and others will latch on to it and misread you as well based on what others say/lie.
It keeps your circle tiny AF.
: I called it during preproduction, and that was on the heels of another production weeks earlier of one of our production company's frequent collaborators' production. They got the film done and in the can, but it cost them control of their film because of the money they needed to stop the BTS drama and get a wrap. (Collaborator is still not speaking to me because, I am told, he feels stupid and doesn't like it.)
