I think about this all the time.
I was 18, trained, armed, body armored, & not alone the first time I experienced the working end of an assault rife. Decades later I still dream about it. I wake as afraid as I was that night.
I cant imagine the terror these children experience, & shudder to imagine how this will effect them. That picture of the child on the bus should move everyone but it won't. Empathy is broken, vilified, & weaponized for greed.
