What the pro-#gun people don't seem to understand is that none of us opposed to gun violence are especially interested in the guns per se; we don't fetishize them, even in a negative way, the way they do. Our problem is the violence, the wounds, the death, the lasting psychological scars.
If there were a way to end that violence and let people have their guns for sport or a masculinity crutch or whatever, we'd be fine with it. But they've had decades to apply their supposed solutions–+
