Woah, just saw that fist bump fail...JD just not getting the hang of the human suit
(and UAW folks knowing exactly how he votes...)

@InUnfunky @Bix Indeed, there's little question where CB was coming from vocally. At least Don developed a *ahem* unique musical vision -- as for, say, Omar and the Howlers, however....

Craig Unger:
This is what voter suppression is all about. GOP’s Ken Paxton admits that without it, would likely be blue.

@stratkitten "Under Blackpool Lights" or "From the Basement" - just watch and you can see how integral....

@DrFaustus McLaren seems to be at sea with strategy - their "racecraft" this season reminds of typical Ferrari shenanigans, in this case handing Ferrari the race.

@LnzyHou DeLuca looking back to when Thompson, Wolfe and co. roamed the pages?

@northernbassist From there, next step is David Barber, "When the Fat Lady Sings."

(His amusing music history books were actually better for refreshing for comps than the "real" summaries....)

@mcfate "Vague or evasive on policy" were the words the reporter and anchor used to characterize H in their story about the campaign - reporter offered quoted anecdote as an example to her point. This PM on ATC. I was in the car doing errands on a break, so pls pardon if I don't have more specific references in this case. My initial post has more to do with my perception of the general tone of reportage (did my best to provide example on request) Your experience/perception may vary! Just my POV

@mcfate Today, characterizing Harris as being evasive on policy: the example the reporter gave was in re: codifying Roe - the reporter tried to reframe the question to the filibuster, which Harris said was irrelevant because they didn't have the votes either way. KH's point was "give me the the votes in the Senate to codify reproductive rights," but the reporter called her evasive for not following the reporter's desired shift to the filibuster, and the anchor agreed (in a very, "oh my" tone).

NPRs painfully earnest attempts at whatever they think centrism is just make them sound as duplicitous as the rest of the MSM has become.

Apologies for hawking merch on here, but all sales do include a donation to World Central Kitchen, feeding people in Ukraine and Gaza, and, srsly, $12.50 for a tee is pretty good....(and a tee pays more than 1K streams...welcome to the biz these dayz) Labor Day Merch Sale is live at theislen.threadless.com

@gshevlin @bluesbaby Sainz must see something in the pipeline, tho...the '26 car?
