@DavidSalo Just what I was thinking - the rapid flood of "small" donors and endorsements can't be what they anticipated...and those who withhold endorsement risk appearing in thrall to the moneymen.
The next few days are going to be when the weird turn pro....
@BlueStateBabe Camped out with my Grandparents on the White Mountain Rez. Listening on the radio and looking up at the sky.
@CanisPundit @Bix Tommy Shannon (still with us, bless him), already had that pocket...
@tgraph52 My curmudgeonly take: The inability to publicly name the role of greed in our political system (okay, society) is at the core of the rot in, well, everything.
It seems that when the media reports "Democratic opinion" they don't mean D voters; they mean a minority of D politicians and a number of D "donors," i.e. rich people who try to control political discourse through their money to benefit themselves (and who will just as happily donate to Rs when that benefits them).
There is no reason for a "donor class" to even exist. It's fundamentally contrary to democracy.
@ugottano Hate to be that guy, but since Spotify doesn't pay for over 80% of the music on the platform, and wiped all my songs but one off on false pretenses, it's YouTube music, since I get it along with YT Premium.
Bernice Johnson Reagon - man, that's a lot of soul leaving this place...
