I have taken comfort in the idea that AI can't tell a decent joke, but today my world shifted. I think Chat GPT told me a pretty good joke. Will you humans tell me if you think it's even slightly funny? It might mean that the AI has leveled up, or it might mean I'm easily amused. Thoughts?

@BillieBun I am not very well read on the subject, but from what I understand, it has been observed that two identical sub atomic particles can effect one another (usually the spin of an electron iirc) in such a way as to seem to have "transported" a la Star Trek. Einstein (half-jokingly) called it "spooky action at a distance" but it's usually called Quantum Entanglement.
That's about all I remember and some of it might be wrong 🤣🤣

@stueytheround @BillieBun That's close to how I'm using it in my novel. Right now it only works with information, but my understanding of what that means is also subatomic. 🙂
@pr10n There was a BBC documentary on it a couple of years ago. It's a bizarre phenomenon that's for sure. Whether or not we'll ever have a practical use for it, who knows?
