Cherry and Pineapple upside-down cake with rum and ginger, served with local clotted cream.
#FoodPr0n #CosoCooks
@piquant00 Nope. It can happily remain a local delicacy!
Clotted cream is heat treated which creates a thick crust on the top. This increases its shelf life and imparts a unique flavour and texture. It is exclusively made from the milk of the Jersey Cow because of the high fat content of their milk (they're also quite pretty as cows go).
@stueytheround I propose calling it "Endurocream" or "Jersey Cream." 🐮
@piquant00
See the trouble is, that Jersey Cream isn't clotted cream, it's runny. It doesn't become clotted cream until it's been heated and cooled correctly! As for "Endurocream" that just sounds like a treatment for premature ejaculation 🤣🤣🤣
@stueytheround Ew 😄
@stueytheround Clotted or not, where can I get some… #Sweetooth
@stueytheround lol I was totally kidding about the rum cake!
@Beanc But I wasn't 🤣🤣 I was putting pineapple and cherries in a cake. To leave out the rum would have been rude!
@stueytheround @Beanc
No, no Stuey. You put the lime in the coconut and shake it all up.
@stueytheround
OMG... I'm getting weak just looking at that.
*slurp*
You saved me some, right? Pretty please with rum on top?
@misterfive There's still ¾ of the cake left.
I'd say I'd be right over, but the Concorde doesn't run any more 😭
@stueytheround "Clotted cream" needs a better PR person.
