Whether you have an XTwitter account or not, I think we all can appreciate the gravity of the pending changes to their privacy policy.
See https://counter.social/@ecksmc/111042489520075648
The coming weeks will be a valuable time to highlight that CoSo does NO such thing and that data privacy is prioritized.
You can see the official statements in the TOS.
Briefly:
1. NO data is retained
2. You have to opt-in to engage with the AI/no spying
3. When you delete your account, you are GONE

Possibly water (we do have ponds), but the community is still being built, so it could also be dirt around the house construction sites

Have you read CounterSocial's Terms of Service? Probably not, right? It's okay, most don't.
That's why we are cordially reminding you that CounterSocial does not tolerate abuse of any kind, no matter how well intentioned it purports to be. That everyone is safe to speak here is a hallmark of this place, and we have been extremely consistent in keeping it that way for almost six years.

It'll take some getting used to, but there are options to change to look (tabbed vs menus, etc) and you may have to hunt for some features, but they are there (at least, the ones I've wanted).
@Gardenthymeherbs
I can understand that. I haven't had any issues opening my old MS Office files in LibreOffice, but there are some features I've had to hunt for in the settings/menus. As with anything new, it takes some getting used to. I think most of us are more used to MS because that's what most offices use so it's easier to use it at home too. There are options if you're looking to cut ties with MS though (Linux, Open or LibreOffice, etc.)

We often underestimate ourselves way too much. Next opportunity, Go for it! Don't tell yourself 'no', make them tell you 'no'
