When did prosecutors and trial judges become so convinced that putting Trump in jail for contempt would surely cause all of the following?
* rioting in the streets
* a stock market crash
* Biden to lose the election
* the moon to fall from the sky
Cause I'm pretty sure it's not true.
It's more likely to cause:
* dancing in the streets
* a stock market boom
* a Biden victory
* a big, beautiful full moon
We should never be afraid of doing what's right.
I don't follow. Steve Schmidt regulary but have been impressed with him in recent years.
I am impressed that someone is thinking past this next election about how to make the country better.
And I think Steve has a lot of interesting and valuable observations in this video. It's mildly heartening to see members of the Republican party speaking intelligently about where we go from here.

"Opinion: I’m a Jewish student at Yale. Here’s what everyone is getting wrong about the protests"
Watching the. WHCA Dinner tonight. It just seemed the audience was subdued.
Many of the expected jokes from headliner Colin Jost fell flat and seemed inappropriate. Everyone realizes the country is not normal right now.
Biden's remarks began with expected jokes but finished up in serious campaign mode.
Guests had to pass Gaza protesters on the way into the building.
It's all another confirmation we are living in a critical time in history.
I’m reading a book about Hitler and the Habsburgs and this stood out to me:
“To him, immigrants were a cancer stealing his future and destroying Austria. Their (Habsburgs) social and economic success personally stung him. He came to believe that people of different races, cultures, languages, and religions threatened to marginalize Austria’s German population, making them a minority in their own homeland”
/Sounds exactly like the GOP and their dogwhistles about immigration and the border.
History in the making.
I fear we are all watching the eradication of the fair rule of law in America.
By the time SCOTUS hands down the opinion, "law" will be applied based on who you are instead of what you do.
I'm listening to the SCOTUS debate over Presidential immunity.
It's sickening to observe Justices taking a magnifying glass to our Constitution in a desperate attempt to find some esoteric, convoluted reason to lift Donald Trump above the law.
The current Supreme Court is broken. We need a plan to fix it. Read about it below.
I'm so depressed to think about the VERY large section of America that will not, and may never, see the immoral, sleazy nature of this man Trump as it is displayed in the ongoing trial.
If you get your news from FOX, and your social media is Truth.Social or maybe Facebook or X, you won't know the truth.
This NY trial needs to be televised.
Yeah? You know who else is losing credibility? It's Judge Merchan himself.
How does anyone take your orders seriously if you don't enforce them?
Good for them! 👏
More media outlets need to follow their example.

I was inspired by the recent solar eclipse to revisit this fascinating presentation about the origin and peculiarities of the moon.
Mankind is learning the moon is not what we think it is.
