@skiphunt The widespread obsession with / hype around crypto makes me angry.
It's little more than an overcomplicated Ponzi scheme; the supposed real-world use cases are entirely contrived, unless you're trying to trade contraband or otherwise circumvent the law - & while the latter has SOME positives (eg: crypto donations support unsanctioned free distribution of scientific literature, circumventing extortionate academic publishers), "enabling illegal activity" is NOT a good main use case.
