@AskTheDevil There are many people in danger who need a caregiver. There are also people who are a danger, not necessarily because they will harm someone, but because their behavior is so erratic that they create accidents trying to avoid them. (The common case I see is people stepping into and out of lanes of traffic without looking.)
All of them deserve to be treated better than to be left wandering the streets without support.

@sfleetucker I remember very clearly when, all of a sudden, the city buses were full.
Full of people who had been tossed out of instutitions, with no support. They'd end up sitting on buses because you could ride out of the weather all day for a quarter, unless the driver threw them off.
This wasn't people dangerous to us. It was people who were in danger from not having any people to look out for them.
