It's terrible when an older adult's mind experiences dementia. My grandmother was convinced she'd done amazingly powerful things near the end, which had no basis in reality. She claimed she had caused businesses to fail because she boycotted them, etc. I'm glad we got her into a managed care facility where she could be comfortable and have a good quality of life without putting herself or others at risk.
@sfleetucker It's a wild trip. Right now my Grandma in home care is manageable. If it was up to me she would in a long term care facility. I think she would be less lonely.
