@LiberalLibrarian I specifically mean "Columbus Day" as it is still a national holiday. I have 0 problem with Indigenous (or First Peoples) Day.
Personally, I think we should move elections to July 4th. No ballot counting that day. Just voting followed by fireworks to celebrate our nation and its (very imperfect) democratic founding.
Agree! Once I learned the truth that Columbus didn’t even discover this country, on top of the atrocities he committed, it disgusted me.
@sfleetucker I don't know about up in the Bay Area, but in LA it's Indigenous Peoples Day.
