@sfleetucker MTV was the only outlet (unless apparently you lived in NYC or L.A.) to learn of all the great music coming out across the pond (my mom and I are both big British Invasion fans, just different eras.) Forever grateful to MTV for that.

@sfleetucker used to be able to tell hour and half hour by when Thriller came on. That was briefly the big draw for visiting friends in NY -- they had MTV!
