Watching hot air balloons light up in the dark is magical!

Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, New Mexico

It’s going to be a fun night trying to sleep with this going on. Well, it’s already a hoot hearing things getting battered around.

One of my favorite events here in The Land of Mañana is The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, coming up next month! It's a toss-up, (for me), between going in the morning when it's cold but you can buy a yummy breakfast burrito and coffee to warm up while watching the balloons get inflated or the Special Shapes Glowdeo at night.

Getting help from Ms. Mads while I made phone calls and did other fun adulting stuff on the computer.

The look of an annoyed Smitty because Maddie won’t get off the tower. 😆

Reminiscing of my days hiking in the Colorado Rockies. 1990

Indian Peaks Wilderness: 73,391 acres with over 50 lakes, 28 trails covering 133 miles, and six passes across the Continental Divide.

Now getting lunch with the family and oh gawd I need a drink!
I’ll be home soon and can enjoy.

Abo Mission Church ruins at Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, New Mexico.

"The people that settled Abo at the end of the 11th century were part of the Tompiro group, the same group that established pueblos at Quarai and Gran Quivera nearby. They were the mountain relatives of the Piro who lived further south."

366 days ago, I picked up a 27ft uHaul w/car trailer & left Indiana the next day to move back here to New Mexico.

It was the worst moving experience of my life & had I not had my two furbeasts with me, I honestly doubt I would have made it. I'll before forever grateful for their calmness throughout the ordeal.
And grateful for all who helped when I got here. Helped calm me, helped unpack, and more.

Hotel coffee, boxes at old apartment, saying goodbye to neighbor & dogs, my monsters in hotel

It’s a miracle! A true blue miracle….

Finally figured out a home for big jolly green lamp that bestie dropped off 10 or so months ago and asked me to hang on to it for her. I’ve come accustomed to her quirks and I kinda like this one cause often she decides she doesn’t want an item after all. 😆

After my friend V and I rearranged the living room a couple weeks ago, the corner between the TV & bookcase was too dark and needed some colour.

Just one of many reasons the Democratic party isn't resonating with a lot of us. 😡

The guest for this news story went on to talk about how many cities and states have responded to low salaries by increasing pay but that there were still many states lagging behind. Then continued on the same trope of how great the economy is doing. FFS

The temps here in Albuquerque are back on the rise, though nowhere as nasty as many other states. So on that note, I give you a bit of snow and ice chilling a field of corn.
