My ability to pay attention and read completely has gone out the window. I didn’t notice that making Dijon mustard takes so much mustard powder. 😵 I probably only need 1/2 a cup but daaaamn, I need to buy more mustard. Today. Oh, and not Penzey’s because there’s no longer a store here. 😞

I'm a real doofus. I looked up the Penzey's Canadian mustard and it's hot mustard. And then, I remembered that Dijon is hot. So of course regular old ground yellow mustard isn't going to work.
Called Talin Market, a local international grocer and they have Japanese or Chinese hot ground mustard. Ummm, well shit, which one do I use to make Dijon mustard? Aaarrghhhhhh

Ok, from what I've read, it looks like Chinese hot mustard is the one to go.
What a day it already is. I think I'm having a Monday on Tuesday. 😞

Today is “I should have stayed in bed.”

Loooks like I’ll have to order from Penzey’s after all. The employee at Talin Market I spoke with must not have heard me when I said “Ground powder Chinese hot mustard “ because all they have is paste and sauce. 😖
