Had a good chat with my dad yesterday about my mom (she passed in December). She was a wonderful person and a great mom, but she had her own faults. Dad acknowledged that some of the things she did definitely contributed to some of the mental health struggles I currently deal with.

It was nice to get that acknowledgement. I waited a long time to have my feelings and anxieties seen and validated. I'm thankful that he and I had that chat.
