OMG every time a client comes in to my job with multiple children I'm reminded how happy I am not having kids. Holy cow. These kids are nuts.

I had this super weird dream where it seemed like being able to live in nice apartments was determined by popularity. If you were cool or influential enough, landlords wanted you in their apartments. So, you had to stay relevant and be amazing in everything. Wow, it was an exhausting dream. Like The Hunger Games, for real estate.

So today was fun. I bought a new faucet for our downstairs bathroom because that one is 20+ years old and leaking. We go to shut the water off under the sink to work on it and.. now we have to replace the shut offs first before we do anything else because they're no good either. It's always something in this house and I just wanna cry.

@rpardee I work in a veterinary hospital and there's plenty of times I could have benefited from "BEHIND!" πŸ˜‚

I've been trying to read every night before bed and I just started a new book. I keep telling myself I'll just read one chapter tonight. Pages and pages go by and I'm like "how long are these chapters???"

Guys.

THERE AREN'T ANY CHAPTERS!! It just keeps going!

Say what you will about Star Trek Discovery, but I enjoy it and it always makes me happy when Wilson Cruz is on my screen. When I first saw he was cast as Dr. Culber, it made my heart happy that little Rickie Vasquez was going to space.

Had a weird dream where I had to try to find the phone number for a podcast host I really like so I could tell him his dog beat cancer. Context: I work for a vet, so I guess a weird connection was made in my brain on this one. πŸ˜‚

@amarand @th3j35t3r I have one in my big toe from childhood! I didn't know a pencil was hidden in a bunched up blanket and I stretched my leg out fast under the blanket and stabbed my toe. Right in the top of it pretty much where the toe meets the rest of the foot.

I have a brief OJ Simpson story. My father used to work for Victorinox, the people who make the Swiss Army knives and watches and stuff. Right before the famous Bronco chase, he came by the warehouse for a tour and my dad got to meet him and shake his hand. For years after the fact he used to joke "I wonder if he used one of our knives ..."

@amarand I'm a little jealous that you can find so many nice or interesting things to take pictures of on your walks. In my neighborhood it's pretty bland and unexciting.

My boss has never ever eeeevvver texted me after one of our crazy days to tell me how awesome I am and thank me. She just did. I immediately took a screen shot for evidence. πŸ˜‚

My feet are killing me and I can't wait for this crazy workday to be over. Why do I always get stuck working the desk alone??
