I had a brilliant dream last night. It was Thanksgiving and I was fully prepared to stay in my PJs because it's been just me, my mom and my sister since last year. Then my mom tells me my aunt is coming over. So I start proposing that Thanksgiving should just be breakfast. Like get it out of the way. Turkey sausage, pancakes, eggs, a whole spread. Then you have the rest of the day to do whatever you want. Great idea, right??

Got the tattoo today in tribute to my dad. He's the reason I love sci-fi and fantasy stuff so much. We had a bond over Stargate the most. Always "fighting" about which one was better.

I frequently use Shipt to get groceries delivered from Target. I started doing it when my dad was still with us because we couldn't leave him alone bc of Alzheimers. Usually I get a very nice shopper who texts hi before they start and keeps me posted on things. They also usually text when they're on their way with the groceries. Last week AND this week I think I got the same shopper because he's made zero effort. Like, come on dude. At least some basic communication is nice.

Wow, the rain was pretty loud for a while there. I'm so glad our roof is brand new and not leaking anymore. It wouldn't have been able to handle this.

I guess I don't understand how cigarettes are still a thing. These people know how bad they smell, right??

@th3j35t3r Oof, I can relate. I actually ended up in the hospital 3 days over Thanksgiving with the flu. My temp was 104 and my heart rate was through the roof and they wouldn't let me go home and have turkey. 😂

@Kaysymmetry Mine said something similar when he was looking at our ancient old sparking fuse box. $1200 later, I have an upgraded breaker panel. Slightly less death trappy now.

Oh hey? If your pet is at the vet's office for a procedure, we get it.. you're a nervous dog mom or dad. Oh yeah, and Embark shows you your dog's relatives too. This doggie is named Edgrr (get it?) and he's a 56 percent relative match to Nimoy, so he may not have been from the same litter, but pretty close.

I had done a Wisdom Panel DNA kit on Nimoy when he was a puppy. For hahas, I did an Embark one on him now that he's 7. I can now confirm he's definitely mostly Chihuahua and poodle.

@Vozy I tried to read another book similar to this, "The Essential Dalai Lama", and couldn't get through it. I was interested more about learning about him and not so much all the teachings.

@AskTheDevil No, she doesn't have trouble with the phone. She's a few years younger than my mom and has her iPhone pretty figured out. I'm leaning more toward I keep getting accidentally called instead of someone else.
