Just what I wanna do while recovering from Covid. Make my tiny jerk puke up the muffin wrapper and remnants of the chocolate chip muffin he stole. I worry more about the muffin paper because it's big and his intestines are not. Jerk face.

Sweet older woman client at work had to take her dog to the emergency vet because she was sick and found out it was from grape toxicity. She didn't know grapes/raisins are toxic and has been giving her 2-3 as treats most days she has grapes in the house. She was devastated she made her sick. So, here's your PSA to make sure anything you give your pets is safe for them to eat!!!

This makes me so happy! I've been cleaning out extra dog items in my house from when I had larger dogs. This belonged to my heart and soul dog Gypsy and I've been holding on to it for sentimental reasons for years. Passed it along to one of my friends for her pittie Nala and it fits perfectly!

Talked myself into taking a walk down to our community center because I remembered we had a gravel walking path around the field. Um. It used to be. It's in serious need of an upgrade. On the bright side, I found $5 on the sidewalk on the way home.

I think tonight was the easiest I've ever gotten my dog to hold still for a vaccine. Usually I have to poke him like 8 times because he won't stop moving and panicking. Now he's pouting.

Just had to talk a client into SAVING money by doing a test that checks for several different tick-bourne illnesses instead of just a titer for Lyme disease which is more expensive. He said he only cared about Lyme. Exsqueeze me?

Oh! Angry guy is back again in the comments. This time he's like "Well, whatever! All I needed was a prescription and my dog is legally protected." So I so kindly sent him the ADA link. Just in case the state law wasn't good enough. Keep on backpedaling buddy. I'm gonna humble you a little today.

His argument (and he was definitely arguing) was that ESAs are protected under state law and I'm stupid. So I sent him a lovely link that says they're not. Not even under the ADA. Gotta love the keyboard warriors who swear they're right and didn't even check first. My ultimate point is.. service dogs are wonderful. Bringing your pet everywhere because you want to and faking that it's a service dog is not.

The police department made a post about how dogs weren't allowed and then made mention of "therapy" dogs. I commented as an FYI that there's a difference between therapy, service and emotional support dogs. And went into the descriptions. One guy jumped all over me and called me stupid and told me to "read the laws." I think he, himself, was confused. (more)

My town had its annual "Pumpkin Festival" yesterday, which is just a big craft and vendor fair with food trucks and local organizations cooking stuff like fried dough and burgers and such. Dogs are never allowed, but people bring them anyway. Some were pissed they were turned away when others weren't. This sparked a huge debate about service dogs and emotional support dogs on Facebook.
