A thought popped into my head today: @wilw in BBT was told "I loved your character in Dark Matter" with the response "I was never in Dark Matter". After being shown the episodes.... well, that's the story hook.
The idea that divergent universes that converge on some things but not others is common in sci-fi. But when those don't quite mesh right, now you're in the Twilight Zone.
Most important thing about Avengers Endgame: no after credits scene. Just go pee.
