@White_Rabbit so true. The Echo Chamber is a real thing, and simply complaining to people with the aim of finding agreement or resonance only FEEDS the monster.

You can convince yourself of the most insane ideas about yourself, others and the world by not challenging what you believe to be true in any given case.

Safe Spaces AKA Echo Chambers with pastel colors, are a severely double edged sword!

CoSo crew,

Just a gentle reminder, not everything in life is about politics.
It's ok to take a break from the news and social media once in a while.
It's ok to admit that you're not well versed on a specific topic.
It's ok to admit that you're wrong when you're proven wrong.
You do not need to be an expert about everything.

When you can accept that you are human, you are imperfect, and be humble about it, you will be a better person for it.

They are all souls. They are brothers. They are sisters. They are daughters, and sons. They are real human beings.

I'm not saying we need to understand them, or even like everything they do. I'm not saying you have to agree with them, or stand idle when they are doing something wrong.

No matter what you do, love them. If you love them, you WILL help them...

And right now I think we could all agree we need a little help? ❀️

@White_Rabbit Before I answer, I πŸ’―was going to say do this for our Prez; name a good quality, but went😴

Now, about Adolf Hitler; maybe a couple:
1. He penned 'Mein Kamph', considered a great literary work.
2. Although considered evil, he at first had a heart, & had no hate for & dismissed talk of hatred of Jews.

Often, people inadvertently get more of what they DON'T want by persisting on a path that elicits the very things they find distressing.

I see this happening with the name-calling, labeling, and generalizations being made from all sides.

This results in a cyclical response pattern where fights escalate to a point of hopelessness, defeat, and hardening of attitudes.

Be angry. Be passionate. But know that the hate is being fed by everyone who engages this way...

because hate is sneaky.

After four years of debating, in 1804 Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte enacted a new legal framework for France known as the "Napoleonic Code."

The civil code gave post-revolutionary France its first coherent set of laws concerning property, colonial affairs, the family, and individual rights.

Like many civil codes during the time -- they unfortunately neglected women -- even depriving them of individual rights and also involved colonial slave rights, but he began moving us in the right direction.

So much evidence of various factions working to divide this country and others. The who, what, when, and where are all debatable. But we can all agree that it's happening. Sometimes the best thing we can do to "resist" is to refuse to be manipulated into hating each other.

I refuse.

Alright, CoSo...

Exercise in compassion, and it's going to be a hard one, but I'm curious how many people can do it...

Give me one positive quality of Adolf Hitler.

I think I'm missing what all the Donald Trump racism & White Nationalism is about?? Did he promote White Nationalism on TV or something?

On either side of a potentially violent conflict, an opportunity exists to exercise compassion and diminish fear based on recognition of each other's humanity.

Without such recognition, fear fueled by uninformed assumptions, cultural prejudice, desperation to meet basic human needs, or the panicked uncertainty of the moment explodes into violence.

Mike Carey once said, "We make our own monsters, then fear them for what they show us about ourselves."

The biggest takeaway from the reality that we have young men feeling so afraid & futureless that they fall into delusion and they'll decide to shoot innocent people for their nonsensical reasons IS that society has failed the young men of this country. The leaders are shit, the Mainstream Media is shit, the ones who were selling out our country to the highest bidder are shit, and the pharma companies, whose drugs many of these shooters were on and reacted from, are one of the prime shits

Zealous men often confuse purity with intolerance, particularly when they're young.

The basic lesson here is to understand that any device under control of someone else should not be used as a second factor for important authentication, unless you completely trust that other organization. Never trust Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Twitter, T-Mobile, etc. to secure your important information. If you read the User Agreements...THEY tell you not to trust them to secure your data and identity, because they won't!

Legacy Media (Mainstream) is Now Openly Calling for Online Broadcast Regulations

They sure do hate the competition from independent people on the internet don't they

I'm going to say this even though, on CoSo, I don't think this is disputed.
LGBTQ people wanting the same rights as others is about love and equality. An oppressed group, just want to love who they love and have the same rights as everyone else.
They do not equate to media folks who spew hate and vitriol and have been pulled from various private platforms.
One is about love and equality.
The other is about hate and oppression.
If you aren't on the side of love, you're on the wrong side.

When does a megacorporation get too big? How can it be good for so many avenues of information and influence to be under the control of a single entity?
