Puttering around work, listening to some music.

Days like Turkey Day make it so much harder to be away from family. Especially when I go home in a few weeks and don't even know if I will be welcome at the table for Christmas.

Happy Turkey Murder Day!

From a displaced American missing out on Turkey Murder Day. 😭

“I find social media to be a mindless void of soul-sucking self-affirmation” - Wednesday Addams

It seems like half of my CoSo posts are going to be ridiculous stories about my sister. Which is great, because she's not here to read them and complain! 😂

Now that's freedom!

We both got the beauty, but only I got the brains.

My sister called, wakes me up, and says, "I haven't called in awhile, I wanted to call and say goodnight before you went to sleep."

SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND HOW TIMEZONES WORK! She's been an adult for years!!!

But now it's too late to go back to sleep. So I get up, shower, put on some social warpaint, and send my sister an inter-continental ballistic stare of death. I hope she steps on a LEGO.

Thank you for the warm welcome, Counter Social. I have to go to sleep for the night, it's late, but before I do I will share one more funny story about my sister.

One day, after I went home for a holiday (after being gone for half a year), she looked at me and said with a straight face, "You look like an older and homeless Aubrey Plaza."

What's funny about that, right?

Well. My sister looks just like me, because we're twins.

My sister once asked me if I read the "Karma Sutra".

I replied, "What goes around comes around, but not in the way you expect if that's how you read the title."

Christmas is coming and I'm going home for Christmas in a few weeks.

So, I want to share a really fun story with you.

I have a tradition with my sister, where instead of buying each other the ugliest sweaters we can find.

We knit them.

Here's the funny part.

Neither of us can knit.

To put my two, "recently ex-GOP" cents in about gun control:

I love guns, but they need to be respected. The problem isn't the gun, but the lack of respect people have for what guns are.

Growing up, my Dad had respect for guns, he taught me the same. Now, he carries them like they are toys, and it scares me because of what he taught me.

I used to be against gun control, but now I support it because of people like my Dad. People like him are losing touch with reality, they shouldn't have guns.

Seeing the pictures of turkeys and pies and all things delicious is making me hungry and homesick.

That's the hardest thing about living abroad and away from home.

But I sure can taste that pecan pie!

Been reading what people write, hope I don't scare people with my profile.

I believe in God, but it's personal.

I'm about freedom, but for everyone to live their best lives without harm. Not just for me and my patch of dirt.

I was Republican. My family are Trump lovers with flags on their trucks and houses. I love America, but my family and the hate spewing really unspangled my flag something fierce.

I want change, so I voted Dem and was disowned by most of my family.

Sorry. I'm seeing the notifications. But a bit overwhelmed on how it all works. There's a lot on my screen moving so fast.

Wow. I got so many messages people asking what the joke was.

All I said was "How does a country girl go from a rural farm to Twitter? On a really fast horse."

Is Elon sensitive to horses or something?

I signed up for Twitter, made a joke on Twitter about a horse, and had my account locked. That's why I am here now.
