If Democrats really want to win over people like me and my family and undo MAGA:

They need to get out of the cities and come to our farms.

They need to see how they are dying. And they need to do more than just say "I see you". Saying it doesn't do anything when you're still pouring billions into corporate processing farms and stone walling family farms with red tape.

We only ever hear from Democrats during election cycles. That's it.

Want rural America to stand with you? You first.

@Gunderground @Jura1942 Yup.

I'm still pretty conservative all round, I'm just not voting Republican.

I'm adopting some left wing ways, but I doubt you'll ever find me standing behind a Democratic politician. They've left rural America to rot.

To me, a Democratic vote is a temporary bandaid over the bigger rot that's taken hold with the MAGA Republicans.

Neither are really good. They just tell people what they want to hear and deliver nothing.

Sitting here, writing emails, watching leaves fall off the trees.

Humans are a lot like leaves. We are easily influenced and rustled by the wind and make a lot of fluttering noises, but eventually we all let go and fall off the tree.

@f3dUp73xan I would say use Brave. Same source as Chromium, without all of Google's hooks and trackers.

@TiarePalau I love a good party.

But it's really hard on the head after awhile. 😅

Twitter is like that huge crazy party I somehow ended up at where too many obnoxious people are totally sloshed, talking too loud and breaking into fights…

…and CoSo is that cool, quieter but more interesting room that I ducked into to retreat from the noise and just talk and laugh with friends…😅 🙏🏽💙💚🐬

@Bugs_Mathis Eating while nobody is watching is one of life's greatest pleasures! 😂

I got up super early today, went downtown the city for a lazy city walk.

I can't wait to go home. I know there's a fight waiting for me there. But even in a city of people. I'm very alone.

I guess I'm starting to feel homesick.

It's time for me to get up and head out to work, CoSo, but I'm going to ask you to read the back and forth @EelGM and I had about rural America and farms in our posts.

I think it's important. It gets forgotten or ignored in a lot of discourse.

Anyway. Have a good day! 👋

@EelGM I would hope things like that could happen across America.

I own farm land. It was given to me by my grandparents, but I have chosen not to farm it. I walked away from it because I know it would have been expensive and grueling work for almost no return.

It's so heartbreaking to have been given something by your grandparents with their hopes that you could keep it alive.

And you just can't.

@peeppeepcircus @EelGM You would think.

Farmers feel the impact of a changing climate.

@EelGM And the sad thing is.

We could talk about this all day and it'll get brushed off.

People really don't care about rural America.

They'll be happy to call rural conservatives racists, bigots, and other dreadful names for voting Republican without considering for a minute those Republicans might not see what they do while happily letting their farms and livelihoods die off.

So, rural Republicans become easy prey.

Democrats like to say they're woke while they're still half asleep.

@EelGM That and hoops a farm has to jump through if they want to stay certified and be able to participate in the market at all.

Which is getting harder and harder to do as a small small.

Family farms are dying. And urban America doesn't give two thoughts about it. Not their problem.

@EelGM Oh I know.

I can tell stories of how Democrats let corporate America chew away at farms. My family has a bunch of near dead farms just barely making it.

Or how they give special bias protection to corporate farms and dump subsidies on them while ignoring the small farms and making it harder for small, independent farms to exist.

@EelGM Yup.

And people will read what I write and pass it off without a second thought.

Because they don't want to have any blame in being a part of what created MAGA.

But that's what happens when you leave people who are desperate out of the equation. They will turn to who/what gives them hope.

If they want to stop MAGA, voting isn't going to do it.

They have to reach out to and play big in the rurals. Election time or not. Nothing else will work. Trump will be replaced by another name.
