I'd give my life to save a stranger. Nearly did once. 1st person at an accident. Saved her. He died in my arms. I nearly died of CO poisoning!

And that's horrible, it sucks you had to deal with that.

Some people can't be saved, but that isn't everyone.

@quinnsentialOne @OracleSpirit @MindfulWilliam That is my point. I'm a former SW. I have seen more toxic family members than you will ever know. IMHO: equating a willingness to save "family" with being willing to save a stranger is disingenuous. I try my best. That's all I can do.

I know there are exceptions and circumstances to every person, but I would stand by the generalization.

These days, I see so many people disowning family and friends JUST because of political arguments and beliefs without understanding why those differences and beliefs exist in the first place.
