I am far from a Swiftie but when the double album came out, I listened to all of it in one sitting. And cried. A lot. Her paradox of private heartbreak and professional success stands on its head because my career was destroyed while my home front is solid. The anguish speaks to me. I have been thinking about the Founders. Executive power has grown to a size that would worry them for sure. But so would everything about our current landscape: obstructionist hysteria in Congress, corrupt meddling by SCOTUS. They wanted Gvmnt branches to exercise oversight on one another. Biden is trying to do just that - according to the spirit, not the letter.
