Sitting in a Dem BBQ in MO. Current speaker is the Assistant Minority Leader of the MO House, Richard Brown. Biggest applause responses went to:
1. Don't use the government to pick on ppl - i.e. stop it w the anti trans bills.
2. Fire Josh Hawley.
Pretty soon the challenger to Hawley, Lucas Kunce will speak.

I am not (normally) a Biden fan. But now that he has announced, I will push for him with all I got. Progressives who whine that they don't like him, are petulant entitled children. Closing ranks is something we should learn from the fascist Reps - just look at what they were able to do to the judiciary branch because of closing the ranks!

Went to a community dance showcase as today's outing. Ballet classical and modern, dance schools in traditions from China and India, bellydance, Bachata, you name it. Loved it. BUT. Girls under 10 twerking in sequins is horribly wrong. They are overtly sexualized, w parents looking on. Anyone who wants to ban drag but not this, can go get fucked.

I grew up in Hungary before that country tried democracy for a couple of decades. In Eastern Bloc state socialism, we were forced by the state to have celebrations at school every year for when the Soviets *liberated* Hungary, ie drove Nazis out at the end of WWII and rolled their tanks in. *Liberation* day was April 4. Today is April 4. This is so weird.
