In our town, there has been an effort by Christian nationalists to deny the opportunity to run for another term on the local Library Board to a local pastor, because he supports queer people. He is also married to a man, but they didn't come out and say that. Mayor kept it under wraps, didn't allow the side supporting the pastor to weigh in, then decided to remove said pastor from the ballot for the Library Board. ++

Those of us who support the pastor in question, only found out today about all of this. I did something I very rarely do: stood up to my full political science Ph.D. height in a letter and sent it to the Mayor. Then put it on Facebook, along w the link to the City Council, and made the post public and now friends are sharing it. And if you are so inspired, so can you:
