I had a choice: foreign-made but sold @ national Cdn retailer or Cdn-made sold by a local small biz for a bit more. Bought local but this is the most awkward, impractical pos vacuum I’ve ever come across. And I cleaned houses & biz for a living for many years. Blows hot air straight up- no power on the wand & the hose is so stiff it knocks everything over as you go by. Doesn’t even roll over its own power cord. Unfortunately it’s built to last so it will likely out-live me.#RantOver #CosoCanuck

So a bit unnerving. We have an old arm chair on our back porch and I keep an old blanket on it because the chair is a bit scratchy. Also keep a gash towel on the shelf beside the chair, rolled up, to dry our feet when needed. I noticed the towel was on the chair earlier but now I see the blanket is gone. Not crazy about having someone in my yard, let alone at my back door. And who needed a fleece blanket today of all days anyway! 🥵

Made a tactical error going to the ACd third floor to nap late this a.m. The main floor was still cool enough that my Best Girl thought it okay to bake the banana bread she’s been planning on for a while. We’ve not the heat many other places but it’s wilted me profoundly. #ThisOldMe & #ThisOldHouse are frenemies ce soir.

Thought the only “excitement” I’d face today was to get up at 4:30am to drive hubs to the local airport. Thnx to Delta cancelling the first leg of a 2-pt journey at 4am, the “excitement”changed to breaking in my and my kid’s (thankfully) recently renewed passports and making a run for the border to Fargo and back.
