X-rays reveal tiny half-billion-year-old creature
Small Channels near a Central Pit in Terra Cimmeria
There are small channels visible in Context Camera data that are of interest at HiRISE resolution. The host crater is (relatively) fresh and thus may be geologically young; the channels incised on both its northern interior rim and floor may be candidates for impact induced hydrothermal activity.

I got a DNA match with a close but not close relative. My grandfather was his 2nd great grandfather.
I knew my Dad's half brother. I met the half brother's sons a few times but they were 19 and 17 years older than me and lived far away Haven't met anyone from the generations below that. This match is on that line. Didn't even know his name until today.
Genealogy can be interesting. Or this. ๐
My maternal grandma had among her siblings two sisters who married two brothers. The brothers had the surname Ellner. The two I knew were rough old farmers. Catholic.
I got a message today from someone of the Ellner name. A Catholic priest. He was asking a question but also gave me some history of the Ellners. They were all originally Ashkenazi Jews. I would never in a million years have associated Clarence and Herbert with Judaism. My impression is they were barely Catholic!
Fascinating.
