I was on a bus, back in the '90s and in another seat were two girls talking about "Who is George Harrison, anyway?" because the radio had just played one of his songs.
No mention of the Beatles.
"Isn't he the guy from the wine cooler commercials?"
At a time when Ringo Starr was doing wine cooler commercials.
@Tarnagh These were a couple in their 30s. Maybe 40.
Assuming those girls back in the 90s were 18, they'd be 50-ish now.
That 30-40 y/o couple would have been small children - if they were even born yet - at the time this conversation happened.
I blame the parents. Exposing your kids to good music is an obligation every bit as much as food and shelter.
