I didn't pay much attention to the opening ceremonies because I was having trouble hearing a lot of it and it seemed very scattered. So I was playing Scrabble. Thus I missed the big kerfuffle.

@holon42 I have only heard about it, so I'm not sure the report is accurate. A scene reminiscent of DaVinci's Last Supper with a number of drag queens along the table and a woman with a halo at the center. Immediately followed by a scene of the death (?) of Dionysus.
