Did a road trip with my best friend to southern Illinois to see the full eclipse. It was SO cool! I’m 77, I won’t get another chance at this so I’m glad I did it.
Then when we got back to her house I couldn’t find my keys. I looked in all my pockets, emptied my backpack, we looked and relooked through her car and her house. Texted my brother saying I might need a ride home and his key to my house. Took a final look in her garage and they were right outside the door. I’m home, I’m exhausted.
@cjcrew Hope you had a good trip to my neck of the woods. Other than key hide and seek.
@poemblaze You live down that way? You guys are already into spring, we’re just at the “time to mow the clumps if grass” stage.
Loved the small towns we drove through and am jealous that the tiny town we stopped in to watch the eclipse had a Hershey factory.
@cjcrew I didn't know any towns around here had a Hershey factory. I must investigate.
@cjcrew My dad had a great sense of direction except that one time his shortcut made the trip to my aunt and uncle's twice as long. 😏
@poemblaze I was lost, I don’t travel much and I’m the only child of my parents who inherited absolutely none of my dad’s sense of direction. That must have resided on the “Y” chromosome.
