Updated COVID vaccines are coming soon
I just read this. Some mixed news in there. Really wish we got these shots out weeks ago.

Interesting map because just days ago it looked like not much happening in AZ. Had a feeling that wasn't really the case.
I don't know why the experts are at such a loss to explain the summer surge. It's not rocket surgery. There's a July/winter surge in the southern hemisphere coupled with global air travel and a lack of reporting or precautions (thanks in part to militant deniers, a nearly silent medical community and useless media). It's a recipe for more rapid introduction of variants.
Pathetic.
I'll wager that to some extent there is a July flu spike as well. We just have less visibility to that. For one thing the episodes are less likely to drag out than in January kind of conditions.
One of our local higher ups in medicine advised schools about hand washing NOT that that's a bad thing but it's a respiratory virus!
Also filtration which yes indeed is wise advice. In some areas of course opening windows will help too. Buuut come November or even October we can get pretty darn chilly to cold. Who knows this year though our weather is so unpredictable.
Sadly not a word about masks. 😷
Yeah everything has become all or nothing it seems. Are they saying that hand washing is less effective than other precautions - or totally useless? I doubt that the later is true. I hate the USA's Superbowl approach to everything. If you don't place #1 you fire the coach. Hey, wait a minute.
Handwashing is always warranted for certain. We are big on that.
This virus is respiratory in nature and I'm sure secretions land on surfaces including skin ( and handwashing is good basic hygiene) BUT the most effective measure would be wearing a mask which wasn't even mentioned. That was my point

Yesterday I rescheduled a doctor’s appointment to late October. I want the new vaccine at least 2 weeks prior! 😊

My CVS pharmacist says first or second week of September.
