@Tattoomonkey29 The ramifications are global. There are countries that don't have the same advantages as the USA w.r.t. vaccines, antivirals, availability of doctors, etc.. Allowing mis- and disinformation about any public health issue to spread unchecked on your platform is criminally irresponsible.

@peterquirk :( True, we should have done more to get vaccines out to the world faster than the vaccine disinformation spread :( and I hope that efforts are ongoing. What Elon is doing at Twitter on behalf of his christofascist RW overlords is almost guaranteed to cause so much harm to the entire planet that it depresses and infuriates me to think about:( My comment was strictly limited to the morons "here" that have had access and refused vaccines in favor of ivermectin etc..
@peterquirk I saw that and remembered that Musk was very anti-COVID measures and wanted his workers to go back to work during lockdowns in a very vocal way. So, while exasperating, it isn't surprising.
@peterquirk Hoping Apple really does pull Twitter from their App Store now...and Google pulls it from their store too.
Feel like there should be some sort of ramifications for a platform that allows disinformation without trying to stop it.
