leeks can be regrown.
use store bought leeks down to an inch from roots and replant.
what grows back is softer than the commercial variety. cut and they grow almost indefinately
ditto green onions.

@SandHillThicket we live on a wetland meadow. commercial plants just dont cut it here.
she grows clover, wild strawberries (planted in mole mounds) wild roses and dandies to encourage pollinators

aza collects puffs from here and there, brings them home to the orchard, then wishes the little seeds free so they can populate.
